From Zero to Hero: An Unreal Engine AEC Masterclass

Hosted by Enea Lefons
(Unreal Engine Enterprise Team)

Epic Games’ widely acclaimed Unreal Engine is fast becoming the go to standard when it comes to architectural and design real-time visualisation solutions. UE provides archviz professionals with a way of working that is changing the face of the industry, and the incredible visual fidelity that the engine can output means that, every day, more and more people are choosing to use UE as their tool of choice.

And now, with the announcement of Datasmith beta, our AEC users can simplify their data migration into Unreal Engine with a set of extensions and plugins that enable UE users to easily import and manipulate data from over 20 CAD / DCC sources including Autodesk 3ds Max.

In this full day interactive workshop Enea Lefons will introduce Datasmith and focus on giving the attendees an in-depth project walkthrough that will empower them with the skills and knowledge to be able to:

• Work fluidly with complex lighting scenes
• Understand, and master, the different routes to data ingress into Unreal Engine
• Manipulate and work with materials and vegetation
• Understand the interaction available within Unreal Engine (Blueprints)
• Develop for various final platforms (VR etc.)

All attendees are expected to bring their own laptops to work from. A full list of required software (including download links) will be made available on 18th August.
